Optical to Electrical Converter
Description
The Tektronix SD42, SD43, SD44 and the SD48 are optical-to-electrical (O/E) converters to be used with the Tektronix CSA803 and the 11800. The series sampling oscilloscopes are equipped with an SD2x or SD3x Electrical Sampling Head. The SD42, SD43, SD44 and SD48 Optical-to-Electrical Converters can be plugged directly into an 11800 sampling slot or into a CSA803 power slot.
The optical signal input on the SD42, SD43, SD44 and the SD48 is a standard FC/PC fiber optic connector. The other connector types can be accommodated by using optional hybrid fiber optic jumper cables (SD42) or an assortment of hybrid mating adapters that are standard with the SD43, SD44 and the SD48. The SD42 has an average power meter capability when jit is used with a Digital Multimeter (DMM) that has selectable ranges of 1 V/mW and 1 V/µW.
