Fluke 9000A-9900
Interface Pod
Description
This unit is one of more than 50 microprocessor-specific Interface Pods that are used with the 9000-series or the 9100-series mainframe.
It will function as the test interface between a suspect circuit boards microprocessor circuitry and the mainframe.
Each Interface Pod has a self-contained system with its own microprocessor RAM ROM and its own I/O memory space.
The pod can run board-resident programs such as initialization and diagnostics.
The Interface Pod uses the boards clock circuit that will ensure that all tests are performed at the boards designed speed.
The automatic bus line monitoring will eliminate the need for probing and enables detection of both static and dynamic faults.
This 9000A-9900 pod has input protection circuitry against overvoltage and incorrect pod insertion.
There is a self-test socket for quick confidence checks.
