Fluke 9000A-1802
Interface Pod
Description
This unit is one of more than 50 microprocessor-specific Interface Pods that is used with the 9000-series or the 9100-series mainframe.
The pod functions as the test interface between a suspect circuit boards microprocessor circuitry and the mainframe.
Each Interface Pod has a self-contained system with its own microprocessor RAM ROM and I/O memory space.
This pod can run board-resident programs such as initialization and diagnostics.
The Interface Pod uses the boards clock circuit ensuring that all tests are performed at the boards designed speed.
The automatic bus line monitoring will eliminate the need for probing and enables detection of static and dynamic faults.
The interface pod has input protection circuitry against overvoltage and incorrect pod insertion.
It has a self-test socket for quick confidence checks.
