Description

This Error Detector has the capability of housing up to 4 error detector units enabling simultaneous or independent BER testing from 100Mb/s to 12.5Gb/s rates.

The unique design offers excellent flexibility allowing the error detector to be operated in a single channel, 2 channel or 4 channel combined mode.

Operation in combined mode is very useful especially when testing 1:2 or 1:4 DEMUX units and is performed very effectively.

When this unit is in the 4-channel combined mode, the relationship is made between each channel that treats all the 4 channels as the single rate (4 times the data rate of a channel) data input.
