Testing NFC-enabled devices is essential during the design validation and manufacturing test phases to insure quality and reliability of data transmission. This is especially important when you consider that the data being transferred / exchanged between NFC-enabled devices is often secured financial transactions.

Testing NFC-enabled devices can be performed using Keysight’s N2116A programmable NFC 3-in-1 antenna along with the NFC test option (D3000NFCA/D4000NFCA) available for InfiniiVision 3000T X- and 4000 X-Series oscilloscopes. With this programmable antenna, testing can quickly progress from listener mode to poller mode to resonant frequency testing without having to manually or robotically move the DUT from one antenna type to the next.

The N2116A programmable NFC 3-in-1 antenna has a fixed 5 mm test spacing. Also available are the N2134A with 10 mm test spacing; N2135A with 15 mm test spacing; and user-configurable kit / option (N2116A-001) that supports all three test spacings (5 mm, 10 mm, and 15 mm).
