Description

This Serial Cell Generator and Analyzer System is used in research and development to characterize the transmission performance of time division multiple access (TDMA) and other burst-mode transmitters and receivers used in digital communication systems.

It provides error-performance analysis of all types of burst-mode data needed to make sure the devices will work in the network.

TDMA technology is used for upstream transmission in local access networks, such as passive optical networks (PON), fiber to the curb (FTTC), and personal handy phone systems (PHS).

Cell length, cell content and cell timing can be varied for each generator to allow characterization of the transmission performance under real network conditions, even for designs using proprietary cell formats.
