Agilent / HP / Keysight 8485A
8485A Power Sensor
Description
The Agilent / HP 8485A Power Sensor is designed for use with the EPM series, EPM-P series, 70100A, E1416A and the 43x series power meters, and provides extraordinary accuracy and stability.
The Agilent / HP 8485A power sensor is designed for use with the 435B, 436A, 437B, 438A, 70100A, and the E4418B and E4419B power meters.
These thermocouple and diode power sensors provide extraordinary accuracy, stability, and SWR over a wide range of frequencies (50 MHz to 26.5 GHz) and power levels +10 dBm to +20 dBm.
The 8485A power sensor also gives you extremely low SWR.
The Agilent / HP 8485A unit has extremely low SWR and is traceable to the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
A calibration port is included with the power meter for calibration with the power sensor.
This calibration eliminates the uncertainties due to temperature changes and the variance in making measurements with different meter/sensor combinations.
The Agilent 8485A power sensor measures the average power over its entire -30 to +20dBm dynamic range which gives you accurate readings even if your test signal is subjected to multi-tone environments, modulated carriers, or carriers with high harmonics.
The Agilent 11708A 30dB attenuator is supplied with Agilent 8480 series power sensors with the "D" suffix and available separately for the other versions, for calibration with the power meter 30 dBm, 50 MHz reference.
Key Points
Excellent SWR for reducing mismatch uncertainty
Accurate calibration and traceability to NIST
