Advantest R3361C
Spectrum Analyzer 9KHz to 2.6GHz
Description
The Advantest R3361C analyzer is a wide band, very sensitive receiver.
It works on the principle of "super heterodyne receiver" to convert higher frequencies (normally ranging up to several 10s of GHz) to measurable quantities.
The received frequency spectrum is slowly swept through a range of pre selected frequencies, converting the selected frequency to a measurable DC level (usually logarithmic scale), and displaying the same on the CRT of the Tektronix 3066.
The Advantest R3361C spectrum analyzer employs a synthesized local oscillator for assuring highly stable spectrum analyzer, features wide frequency range from 9 kHz to 2.6 kHz.
The R3361C provides full remote-control GPIB, and the memory card function for saving/recalling data and panel settings. The R3361C contains a tracking generator that facilitates frequency characteristic measurement.
The field strength can be viewed and read directly after compensating the antenna calibration coefficient and that the QP value based on the CISPR standard can be observed directly.
Whole information needed for spectrum analysis is displayed on the CRT together with signal traces. The digital memory screen realizes flickerless display. Various marker functions assures accurate and easy reading even in the manual mode.
The two channels of completely independent digital memories enable simultaneous display or two screens.
The user-defined function of R3361C allows the user to pick a desired function and define it on the USER key, which works the same way as the ‘function keys’ on a personal computer. The user can thereby create a customized software menu.
The R3261/3361 Series are the first spectrum analyzers to have a dynamic range display of 120 dB. Since the dynamic range display of conventional displays was small when measuring frequency characteristics of filters or amps which use tracking
generators, a single display was impossible. The R3261/3361 Series, however, can measure up to 110 dB in a single sweep.
The measurement window function allows the user to focus on only the part being displayed. An optional controller function can be installed into the R3361C. Functions for burst signal measurement are available as an option in the R3361C, to further expand its signal analysis ability, and contribute to the development of the latest technologies.
The R3361C should not be used in a place exposed directly to sunlight or corrosive gas and dust or vibration. A cooling fan is provided on the back panel of the R3361C to prevent abnormal temperature rises in it.
The R3361C is designed with the effect of AC power supply line noise taken into consideration. However, it is recommended that it is used in a place where there is minimum noise. A Noise suppresser can be used to avoid noise.
