Agilent / HP 98036A
Serial Interface
Description
This Serial Interface allows the Desktop Calculators 98xx to communicate with serial asynchronous data communication devices.
This unit is equipped with RS232C and 20mA current loop drivers and receivers.
It has one character data buffer.
Data can be transferred at bit rates of 75 to 9600 bps.
The USART circuit is used to manipulate data and provide the basic hardware protocol for asynchronous operation.
The HP 98036A is available with two cable configurations to allow the calculator to acts as a data terminal (Opt. 001) or a modem.
The interface is powered from calculator.
The Power requirements is +5Volt/400mA and ±12Volt/40mA.
