Agilent / HP / Keysight 8590L
8590L Portable Spectrum Analyzer, 9 kHz to 1.8GHz
Description
The Agilent/HP 8590L is an easy to use RF or microwave spectrum analyzer that offers a wide range of performance, features, and optional capability to meet your measurement needs. The 8590L's downloadable measurement personalities is combined with optional plug in performance to provide tailored solutions for your application. The Agilent has designed 8590L Spectrum Analyzer that can be configured to specific measurement needs. With the internal cardcage, circuit-card options can be inserted into any of four internal card slots to increase measurement capabilities. For each application, Agilent offers a unique software program (provided on ROM-based memory cards), designed specifically for the 8590L. Downloaded into analyzer memory, each measurement personality provides measurement setups, routines, and results specific to application, as well as a user interface with terminology directly related to that application. Remote programs and Downloadable programs are the two types of programs that can be used to control the 8590L spectrum analyzer. Remote programs can be developed for controlling your spectrum analyzer from your computer when connected to either the GPIB or RS-232 interface of the 8590L analyzer. Downloadable programs (DLPs) can be developed to locally control the 8590L spectrum analyzer. These programs, downloaded into your analyzer's internal memory, provide customized measurement routines assigned to analyzer softkeys. The Agilent 8590L is an easy-to-use tool provides a broad range of testing capability across a wide variety of applications. Relationships between power, frequency, and time can be displayed with over 200 built-in measurement functions.
Key Points
Frequency counter: Eliminate the need for a separate frequency counter with the built-in frequency counter-with ±2.1 kHz accuracy at 1 GHz (±7.6 kHz from 0 to 50 °C)
Multiple resolution bandwidth filters: Optimize the tradeoffs of speed, sensitivity and the separation of closely spaced signals with your choice of 10 resolution bandwidth filters beginning at 1 kHz
145 dB amplitude measurement range: Measure signals directly with -115 dBm to +30 dBm amplitude measurement range
One-button measurement routines: Save time, setup, and training with one button measurement routines such as Adjacent Channel Power, signal bandwidth and Third Order Intercept (TOI)
Phase noise of 105 dBc/Hz at 30 kHz offset: Uncover small signals close to carriers with an internal phase noise that will not get in your way
Dual interfaces: Operate remotely and print directly with the optional dual interfaces that combine either an GP-IB or RS-232 port with a parallel (Centronics) port
Built-in tracking generator: Measure the scalar characteristics of your components with the optional built-in tracking generator and the Agilent 85714A scalar measurements personality
