Tektronix 2706
Stepping RF Preselector
Description
This is a Stepping RF Preselector that will provide distortion-free measurements in the presence of large signals at the spectrum analyzer input.
If the total signal power at the first mixer stage of the spectrum analyzer exceeds the 1dB compression point, an inaccurate amplitude measurement and spurious intermodulation products may result.
The 2706 Preselector will let the spectrum analyzer user make accurate measurements over a wider range of signal environments by the following:
Significantly attenuating undesired out-of-band signals.
Reducing energy from high amplitude, short duration pulses.
Minimizing the total number of individual signals present at the analyzer input.
