Description
This oscilloscope is configured for data collection.
The computer controls this unit through the GPIB (IEEE-488.2) protocol.
The computer and this unit must be configured for communications over GPIB.
This unit is used to collect ion time profiles for the HPMS and TOF programs.
The computer takes control of this device when an experiment is run.
The scope should be setup with the desired time and signal ranges and have a function configured for averaging of oscilloscope sweeps.
During a scan the computer will trigger this unit to start collecting data.
The computer then waits for this device to indicate that it is done collecting the data and that the data can be transferred.
